Application Background
➡️ To make the flow and design easier, I liken PT Indofood as the FMCG client in this study case. Indofood is a (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) company that has many popular brands in Indonesia such as Indomie, Pop noodles, Indomilk, Soy sauce, Saos and also Bimoli Oil. Here are the details of the role:
- FMCG Client: PT Indofood
- Retailers: Store owners who sell Indofood products
- Consumers : Indonesian people who consume Indofood products
Design 1: Retailer - Mobile App
Create a loyalty program application that allows retailers to claim points, exchange points, view missions, targets, promos and get benefits from purchasing Indofood products.
A. Homepage
Goals 🎯 : Homepage that is easy to understand, quick to access and motivates retailers.
Features
- Level: A description of the partner level, which if clicked will show the leaderboard.
- Sales : Contains partner sales data and analytics. On this page, partners can see their sales target/mission.
- Claim Points : To claim points by uploading receipts or inputting purchases.
- Exchange Points : Exchange the points collected into prizes, vouchers, or cashback.
- My Missions : View and work on a collection of missions (purchase targets, sales targets, challenges, and quizzes).
- Fun Activities & Campaigns : A collection of special campaigns that brands want to highlight. Campin contains missions namely targets, quizzes, promo challenges etc.
- Point Claim History: Displays the latest activity related to point claims
- Bottom Navigation Bar: Is the main navigation that contains: Home, Sales, Claim Points, Missions and Profile
UX Rationale
- Fixed Bottom Navigation: Facilitates quick access to the 5 core features (Home, Sales, Claim Points, Missions, Profile). Icons are intuitive to reduce confusion.
- Home = Instant Motivation: Displays level, points balance & cashback instantly, to keep users updated on progress and motivated to continue.
- Easy to Access Claims & Missions: Claim button and mission list are instantly visible. The process of uploading receipts and submitting tasks is made as simple as possible.
- Visual Progress = Psychological Encouragement: Progress bars, badges, and reward notifications provide visual satisfaction and encouragement to complete the next task.
- All-round Friendly Design: The clean look, large buttons, clear text, and contrasting colors make it easy to use for retailers of different digital literacy levels.

B. Sales
Contains partner sales data and analytics. On this page, partners can view their sales targets/missions.
Features
- Weekly Summary: Quickly display this week's Stock, Sold, Capital, and Turnover data.
- Total Profit: Shows the total profit earned.
- Sales Missions: Specific tasks such as buying certain products to earn points.
- Sales Statistics: Monthly performance graph: Turnover, Capital, and Profit.
- Today's History: Summary of products sold today and their value.
